October of 2015 was a pretty big moment for our family.

With close to 20 years designing products for companies big and small, it was time to make the leap of faith and begin designing, building and marketing products without constraints.  

At the same time my wife and I felt it was time to make a change.

With two all-consuming jobs and two all-consuming kids, we felt like we could do better. We decided to take a much bigger leap of faith and move our family to Fiji and watch our kids grow up in the South Pacific.

Bill Boettcher was a photographer, public school teacher, poker player, truck driver, carpenter and my dad.

Upon retirement, he decided to incorporate and change the world.  He chose Boettcher Emerick Inc.

Early projects included building airplanes from parts found in the junkyard while importing pistachios from the middle east.  It quickly became clear he was actually in the business of creating memories for future generations of Boettchers. 

For me, Emerick represents this adventurous spirit.
